  • Thank you fundraisers
  1. Support us

Thank you fundraisers

We are very fortunate to enjoy a vibrant and loyal supporter community who go out of their way to raise money for us, so that we can continue to support people with aplastic anaemia and their families, fund vital research and fight aplastic anaemia together. We really appreciate your support.

We wanted to highlight a few of the amazing things that some of our fabulous fundraisers have been doing recently and use this opportunity to say THANK YOU to everyone supporting us.

A few of our fabulous fundraisers

Thank you walkers

On the 11th December, 70 of you joined us to walk the Winter Windsor Walk. It was so lovely to see so many of you there and meet you all.

Thank you so much.

Thank you Santa Splashers

Thank you to everyone who braved the cold sea in Margate and in Wales and raised over £2,000. We can't wait until next year.

Thank you to the Tough Mudder team

A big shout out to this team of fearless people who braved the mud and took part in a tough mudder challenge to raise money for you.

Thanks.

Thank you to Sanjeev

At the beginning of September Sanjeev Cycled from London to Paris.

Incredible. Thank you.

Thank you to the AAT300 bike riders

The riders cycled 300km over 3 days. A fabulous achievement.

Thank you to all our runners

Over the last few months we have had some incredible running events. We've had marathons, half marathons and even a few ultra marathons. We've still got a few more to come over the next few weeks.

Thank you all, you fabulous people!

Thank you to Martin

Totally Incredible!

In 6 weeks Martin ran 3 runs; an ultra marathon, a full marathon and a half marathon. Thank you Martin.

Thank you to Ritchie's Racers

Ritchie's racers cycled from Celtic Park, Glasgow to West Ham Olympic Park, London, in just 4 days.

A big thank you to this incredible team and their super support team.

You are all incredible.

Thank you William

What absolute stars William and Evie are.

William, aged 6, set himself a challenge, to cycle a very impressive 26 miles. Not only did William smash the challenge but he was joined by his incredible big sister Evie, who has recently had a bone marrow transplant.

This fantastic duo also smashed their fundraising target and raised over £10,000 for The Aplastic Anaemia Trust, Anthony Nolan and DKMS.

Well done and thank you to you both, you are amazing.

Thank you Alex

You are incredible.

Alex walked from London to Brighton, that's in 64 miles (103km) in 24 hours and 20 minutes. That's 127,080 steps in 1 day.

What a fantastic achievement and a great way to fundraise for The Aplastic Anaemia Trust.

Thank you so much Alex. We hope your feet start to recover soon.

Thank you to our 'Together walk' walkers

On the 9th May we held our first virtual.

A big thank you to all the walkers who helped create a feeling of togetherness and community even though we weren't able to be together in person.

Also a big thank you to Ros and Becky for leading two great sessions in the morning to get us ready for our walk.

Together we raised over £3,000. Amazing.

Thank you Pagan

Pagan has ran an amazing 81.81km, sold fragrances and had a super rare party with these really adorable cakes.

What a star.

Thank you Daisy

Daisy is a super star supporter, in March she ran 25 miles and she recently took part in our Together walk.

Thank you Daisy for being fabulous.

Thank you to Emily's Wicked Walkers

A big shout out goes to all those who took part in 'Emily's wicked walk to the west end' in memory of Emily.

We would particularly like to thank Emily's family and friends who organised the walk. Tom, Rosemary Clodagh, Hugo, Myles Copal, baby Lara, Claire and Niamh, you are so incredible.

Emily's Wicked to the West End raised over 38,000 Euros for The Aplastic Anaemia Trust and Anthony Nolan. Just Incredible.

Thank you Phyllis

Phyllis uses her knitting skills to raise money for us and recently made these adorable Easter Chicks to sell.

We love your knitting Phyllis.

Thank you to all those who share their birthdays with us and ask for donations for The Aplastic Anaemia Trust instead of gifts. - Happy Birthday

Thank you to Merv and the Moontrekkers*

Merv's mission is walk to the moon and back and raise £25,000 for four charities including The Aplastic Anaemia Trust.

That is some out of this world fundraising from Merv and his team of moontrekkers.

#moontrekkers

*We think this is a great name for a band. We'd be your number one fans.

Thank you Amelia

Amelia baked these delicious Lemon Drizzle cakes and some Brownies each weekend and sold them to friends and family in memory of her friend. She raised £700, that's a lot of cake.

Amelia also gave out leaflets to raise awareness about aplastic anaemia and the work we do.

You are fabulous.

Thank you Broadstairs Bathers

This amazing group of friends braved the cold sea every day in March and raised over £1,200.

Thank you Zach

Zach took on a challenge to write a letter a day throughout February. He raised an incredible £937. Well Done Zach.
