Sarah proved on 20 May that there is life after aplastic anaemia and bone marrow transplant, by completing the Hackney half-marathon.

It was a hot and tiring race but I did it! I raised £1,000 in total which I'm really pleased with. Now to rest and then start training for the Great North Run in September, where I'm aiming to get a new PB and raise some more money to support this brilliant charity. When I was diagnosed with Aplastic Aneamia in 2014 I had no idea what it was and the AAT website and Facebook forum provided me and my family with much-needed information and support through a tough time.
