Recovery Recovery will take time Recovery from aplastic anaemia can take a long time. So be prepared. Try not to get better too quickly or stress about it. It took time but I just went with it. I slept when I needed to, I went for walks, laughed, hugged my daughter and loved ones. Spent time with people I enjoyed spending time with and it just happened. Above all - stay positive Have faith and lots of patience, recovery is a long road Enjoy the company of your loved ones Try and go for walks, but don’t rush it - recovery is hard and slow work Try and avoid environments where you may get an infection - for example, nursery, the tube Listen to your doctor's advice but don't be afraid to ask questions or raise concerns Trust your body Join our closed Facebook community to learn more about how others have survived aplastic anaemia or read inspiring stories of hope in our Community pages.
