In May 2024, I will take part in the Ford Ride London 100 mile jaunt. For some It'll be their second time, but more importantly, this time it’s to raise money for The Aplastic Anaemia Trust. I’ll be riding in a mixed team of 8 - some experienced riders along with some novice riders who have never cycled in an event like this before!

Aplastic Anaemia is a rare and life-threatening blood disorder caused by the bone marrow not functioning properly. In people with Aplastic Anaemia, their bone marrow fails to produce enough of all three types of blood cells – red, white and platelets. A family member of some of our team, the awesome Sandy Jennings has this condition. He has gone through some very tough times but is now much improved and living a full and active life. The bike ride is easy peasy, living with AA is not, so please donate what you can, it all helps!

Thanks a bunch!

By donating you'll be....

Funding Research
This year The AAT will be investigating new treatment options, that could offer hope to more people, and improve quality of life for patients and their families.

Providing support

  • Provide a young child with a story book that explains what aplastic anaemia is and what they can expect from a long stay in hospital - making the long and difficult treatment less frightening.
  • Make sure there is always some one on the end of the phone. Having someone to talk to who understands, who you don't have to explain your condition to again and again. The AAT hotline ensures no one is alone.
