I’ve just been to donate blood today - and unusually had to trudge through deep snow to get there ... but still got my Tunnocks tea cake & badge for being brave.

This month, I am appealing for your help to raise funds and awareness ahead of Rare Disease Day on February 28th 2021. Aplastic Anaemia is a super rare disease affecting only 1-2 people per million in the UK and blood donation is a direct and positive way of helping AA patients.

Sandy needed almost 100 units of blood and platelets during his treatment and we will be forever grateful to the lifesavers whose donations helped him and many others.

I’d like to encourage everyone who can to donate blood - either for the first time or as a regular donor - and spread the word ! Already 2 fabulous friends are booked in for donations later this month .. Anna C & Stella R 😘

I know there are many people who can’t donate blood, so I have an alternative - let’s call it Donate🩸or Donate💷! If you can donate blood that’s fab, and if you can’t then maybe consider donating £5 to the AAT! Or if you’re feeling super generous then feel free to do both!
