In June this year my niece India was admitted to hospital with Jaundice her Liver Function was dangerously low - 5 weeks of hospital treatment her liver eventually started responding to steroids. A diagnosis of autoimmune hepatitis was given, and she was discharged under the watchful eye of autoimmune disease consultants at the QE in Birmingham.
In September shortly after starting University her bloods were showing low platelets and severe anaemia - now totally blood and platelet transfusion dependant an Aplastic Anaemia diagnosis was given following a bone marrow biopsy. Now awaiting a bone marrow transplant. India was readmitted to hospital 20 days ago and isn't well at the moment.
Whatever I can raise is a bonus - the charity will get 100% of what I raise - the money will go to research and supporting patients who are suffering from this debilitating illness.

I've been training hard and my running is going well. I went for a long run last weekend. I'm feeling postive about the marathon.  Claire Wyldbore-Wood
