Every year on 4th March, we commemorate Aplastic Anaemia Awareness Day.

Will you organise a presentation at your workplace, club, or school this year and help raise awareness of AA and what the diagnosis means for patients and their families?

If you're supporting someone at work or at school who has aplastic anaemia, an awareness day presentation is a great way to show your support and help kids  and colleagues understand what support they might need when they return after treatment.

Our team have presented about aplastic anaemia in team meetings, school assemblies, conferences, blood donation centres, local WI evenings, Soroptimist meetings, Rotary Club evenings - you name it! We'll help you create a presentation that's engaging, interesting, and suitable for your audience.

We can provide:

  • a template presentation, assembly or lesson plan (PowerPoint, PDF, or Canva.)
  • video to play
  • printable posters
  • Leaflets to hand out
  • bunting and cake toppers

Can you send someone from The AAT to present at my school or workplace?

We are a very small team - but we are all over the UK! If we have anyone near you, we we will do our absolute best to come. This is more likely if you are able to give us a couple of week's notice (but if you can't, it's still worth asking - we might be able to do it!

We are also always happy to join you virtually.

Making more of the day

As well as the presentation, you can make more of the day and raise valuable funds. Why not try...

  • Combine it with a non-uniform or wear pyjamas to work day

  • Bake cakes or biscuits for people to buy and enjoy while they listen to the presentation

  • Ask your workplace to provide pizza, and ask colleagues to donate what they would have spent on lunch to The Aplastic Anaemia Trust
