Get free, expert psychological support specifically designed for people with your condition, and the family members supporting you. Join a small, supportive group of people who are in the same boat, and navigate difficult waters together. Led by a clinical psychologist with experience working with people living with Fanconi Anaemia, Shwachman Diamond Syndrome, Dyskeratosis congenita, aplastic anaemia, and PNH. If you feel that this could improve your quality of life, we warmly invite you to join this group. These sessions are offered free of charge, thanks to funding from The Garfield Weston Foundation and The National Lottery Community Fund. During this series, a clinical psychologist with experience working with people living with Fanconi Anaemia, Dyskeratosis Congenita, aplastic anaemia, Shwachman Diamond Syndrome, and PNH will lead a small supportive group. You'll learn valuable skills and techniques that will help you to manage difficult feelings of stress and uncertainty, and how to put these into practice in your everyday life, allowing you to press 'pause', when things get tough. Meet Catarina, your group leader Catarina is a Clinical Psychologist who has been working in health settings for the last 18 years and has vast experience in cancer care, fatigue and pain. Catarina works with people who have been psychologically and emotionally impacted by these conditions in group and individual settings. She helps them to find meaning and purpose and live a life that serves them despite their diagnosis. Managing stress, anxiety, dealing with humour fluctuations, adapting to body and emotional changes are some of the areas of biggest investment.
