Sepsis is a serious condition, and can be life-threatening if left untreated. For people with aplastic anaemia and other related conditions, the disease itself, and the impact that the treatments have on the immune system mean that people with these conditions are at an increased risk of developing sepsis, and experiencing complications if it is left untreated.

September is Sepsis Awareness Month and so in collaboration with the UK Sepsis Trust, we are pleased to bring  you this webinar delivered by the UK Sepsis Trust's Lead Support Nurse, Oliver Jones.

About Oliver Jones 

Oliver is a qualified nurse with over twelve years’ experience in Critical Care and Acute Medicine.  During this time, he has treated many patients with sepsis and witnessed some of the devastating consequences. 

His role as Lead Support Nurse for the UK Sepsis Trust requires him to support people affected by sepsis in a variety of ways including providing telephone and multi-media support and facilitating peer support groups. 

The UK Sepsis Trust provides information about sepsis and support those who may be encountering some of the common physical, cognitive, and emotional problems during recovery.  We also support families whose loved ones have died as a result of sepsis.
