We would like to invite selected members of our community to volunteer in providing feedback on two research proposals which we are considering for funding. This is an exciting new opportunity to provide direct input into the research we fund!

The meeting
The meeting will be led by Ellie Dawes, Interim CEO of the Aplastic Anaemia Trust, and Prof Ghulam Mufti, Chair of our Research and Clinical Advisory Panel. In the meeting, Ellie will explain how you will be able to provide feedback on the research proposals, and Ghulam will explain each proposal to you and answer any questions. Our Trustee and RCAP patient representative Tracy Stevenson will also attend, and is supporting the design of this process.

After the meeting
Following the meeting you will be sent a link to a form to provide feedback and comments on the research proposals. This form will not take long to complete, we ask that you complete it within one week.

Your feedback will be collated and shared with our Board of Trustees and Research and Clinical Advisory Panel, and considered in our funding decisions.

You do not need any scientific knowledge to take part in this feedback opportunity! We are interested in hearing from people with lived experience of aplastic anaemia about how you feel the outcomes of this research could improve your experience - or the experience of people diagnosed in the future.

Register to attend

Please register below to RSVP to this event, so we know who is coming along and can email you the research feedback form to complete after the meeting.

We are inviting people from our community with a broad range of experience with AA to this session, to ensure a diverse range of representation.
