We're linking up Pen Pals this winter, so if you've enjoyed receiving our Winter Sunshine cheerful post, the happy post can continue into Spring and beyond.

If you'd like to exchange letters with someone affected by aplastic anaemia, here's how:

- Write an introductory letter for someone affected by AA. Bear in mind that we will be collecting these until the end of February - so try and write a letter that won't feel late when the person receives it!

- Pop in in an envelope and send it to us. Include a note for Penny in our team telling us:

  • Your name and address
  • A little about you! You might tell us your age, your interests, your politics, your favourite animal. You might have thoughts about the kind of person you'd like to write to (for example, someone on a similar treatment journey to you, or someone on Watch and Wait.) We'll use this information to choose a Pen Pal for you who we think you might have something in common with.

We'll choose a Pen Pal for you, and send you each other's first letters. Whether you continue the correspondence is entirely up to you. Maybe you'll exchange a few letters and feel cheered for a while - perhaps you'll find a friend for life!
