As you can probably tell from my photo, I'm usually the kind of person that likes to watch events like this from the sidelines and cheer people on!

I was diagnosed with aplastic anaemia at the age of three way back in 1999, and even back then, The Aplastic Anaemia Trust was the first point of call for my family to access information about the disease. After having a stem cell transplant in 2017, I later went on to work for The AAT, and it is a true honour to provide support every day to people affected by AA.

I regularly hear stories from our incredible fundraisers, and I am honestly in awe at the things that they are able to achieve, despite the challenges and difficult circumstances that they face. That's why, I've decided that it's my turn to chip in, to do something to help our wonderful charity.

On 27th August, I'll be taking part in The AAT Abseil, something that will really put me out of my comfort zone for this incredible cause.
