At the age of just three years old, Sam’s family received the devastating news that he was suffering from aplastic anaemia. At the time, even with treatment, the chances of him surviving stood at just thirty percent.

Despite the odds, Sam overcame his illness and lived a normal life, until relapsing in 2017, and received a stem cell transplant from an incredible, anonymous German man.

The Aplastic Anaemia Trust works tirelessly to raise awareness of this rare blood disorder and funds vital, lifesaving research to allow people like Sam to live their lives to the full. Thanks to their work, survival rates now stand at more than eighty percent, and continue to improve year on year.

On our wedding day, we are proud to be supporting such an incredible charity. Every penny raised will help to support and save the lives of people with aplastic anaemia.
