I am fundraising because the charity is close to my heart as I was diagnosed with Aplastic Anaemia in 2018, it is a rare disease and can be very serious. It is important that money is raised for research as stem cell transplant is the only cure which is not possible for everyone with the disease. Sometimes we cannot get the answers that we are looking for as not many people, including some medical staff do not know about Aplastic anaemia and it can be very frustrating as a patient.
We find support through the trust, zoom meetings were held during covid and friendships have been made. Hopefully by raising money this charity will be able to continue.
