The last 18 months have been tough for most of us for a variety of reasons.

On top of that, as some of you may know, my eldest daughter Phoebe has been diagnosed with bone marrow failure (Aplastic Anaemia).

Despite constant blood tests, bone marrow biopsies, hospital appointments and numerous specialist visits she is being very brave and coping well.

I haven’t been the healthiest during the lockdown (I think I came out just over 2 stone heavier than I entered) however to remotivate myself I decided to take up a running challenge for a fantastic charity which has now turned into 3!!

I've never officially taken on more than a half-marathon and as some of you who know me know, I don't really have the build of a distance runner, however:

I start on 22nd Aug (A week after I return from holiday) with a 50KM + trail ultra followed by The Brighton Marathon on 12th Sept and a Half Marathon at RunReigate a week later to top it off.

I am raising funds for The Aplastic Anaemia Trust (https://www.theaat.org.uk/ ) who continue to be incredibly supportive through this tough time.

The training hasn't been easy and I seem to be injured more often than I should be but I will endeavour to drag myself round all 3 courses and I know it's cliché but every penny counts for this small charity helping the 2 in a million people who are diagnosed with this rare disease every year.

Thank you
