Kim was diagnosed with Severe aplastic anaemia in April. She was going for weekly blood and platlette transfusions whilst waiting to start the gruelling ATG treatment on 5th July. It was unbelievable how much courage and strength Kim showed. Unfortunately Kim was taken to hospital on Sunday 27th June where she underwent two major operations. She was in ICU for 11 days but unfortunately her health started to decline, Kim’s daughter never left her side. On the 11th July Kim passed away peacefully with her daughter and son in law holding her hand. Kim’s family are extremely proud of her, she never stopped fighting and never gave up. This disease has left her family absolutely heartbroken.

The Aplastic Anaemia Trust would like to thank Kim's friends and family who have raised £500.10 in memory of Kim.
