Peak District Walk 2024

Stunning location

Join us for The Peak District Walk, an 8 mile walk in stunning scenery around Ladybower Reservoir.

The walk will start and finish at the warm and welcoming Yorkshire Bridge Inn. It will follow the designated walking route around the east of Ladybower Reservoir up to Fairholmes at the bottom of Derwent Reservoir and will return via the west of Ladybower Reservoir and back to The Yorkshire Bridge Inn where there will be pulled pork rolls (or a suitably yummy veggie alternative) to indulge in and an opportunity to mingle with like-minded people over a drink or two.

Parking at The Yorkshire Bridge Inn is limited, and we recommend parking at the Heatherdene Car Park (S33 0BY) a 10-minute walk from the Inn. The car park is pay and display and is £5 for an all-day ticket.

At the halfway point there is a takeaway cafe at Fairholmes for refreshments. There is also a small visitor centre, informative displays and toilets. 

The registration will open at 9.30am, where you'll be given a map and a voucher for your pulled pork rolls (or veggie alternative) and we'll aim to start the walk at 10am.

Walking Together is Better 

This walk will provide you with plenty of opportunity to meet people with experience of rare bone marrow
failures, enjoy the great Derbyshire outdoors and work up a healthy appetite for when the walk is completed!

Fundraise for one of the Better Together for Healthy Bone Marrow charities. 

Participants are encouraged to fundraise. Your fundraising goes towards supporting people affected by rare bone marrow failures.

Registration fees go to The Aplastic Anaemia Trust.

Fundraise over £200 by the end of March and you get one of our Super Rare T-shirts.
