As the COVID-19 pandemic continues to have an impact on our daily lives and the economy, some people may be at risk of being made redundant.

People with rare conditions such as aplastic anaemia may face discrimination in the workplace, which could also have an impact on the redundancy process.

In our second employment-themed webinar, we’ll be joined once again by Carolyn Miller, an employment lawyer who specialises in discrimination in the workplace to help give you a better understanding of your rights during the redundancy process.

Carolyn has more than twenty years’ experience as an employment lawyer specialising in discrimination and is passionate about advocating for the rights of people with disabilities and health conditions in the workplace.

In this webinar we will cover:

  • A general overview of the redundancy process and relevant legislation
  • An overview of protected characteristics
  • Your rights as an employee
  • How to advocate your needs as a person with aplastic anaemia

Carolyn is happy to answer any questions that you may have around the topic of redundancy. We would be very grateful if you could submit your questions in advance, either by filling in the ‘Question’ box when you book your place or by emailing them to [email protected], by 12pm on Thursday 14th January.
