Peak District Walk

Derbyshire is the setting for our annual Peak District Walk. This 8-mile walk takes place in some of the most stunning scenery in the Peak District National Park.

Starting from the lower end of the Ladybower Reservoir the walk is on footpaths and trails which run alongside the reservoir to its most northerly point. It was here that the brave crews of 617 Squadron trained in their specially adapted Lancaster bombers for their epic raid on the Ruhr dams in May 1943. There is a visitor centre where we will have refreshments and the chance to visit a hidden gem, the Dambuster’s Museum which is being opened exclusively for our event. The walk then heads back south following a path down the opposite side of the reservoir and finishes at The Yorkshire Bridge Inn where there will be a hog roast and refreshments.

National Park Rangers will join us on our walk and will be able to tell you all about this fascinating location.

Dogs are welcome at this event

UNFORTUNATELY WE ARE UNABLE TO HOLD THE PEAK DISTRICT WALK THIS YEAR BUT LOOK FORWARD TO SEEING YOU IN 2018.
